The Northcote Water Polo Club: The Krakens was established in 2018 and is a new, but rapidly growing club that is passionate about providing an inclusive club environment for anyone that wants to play water polo.
We train at Northcote Aquatic & Recreation Centre and at MLC (Methodist Ladies' College - Winter), and Ivanhoe Grammar School (Adults).
We compete in the Victorian Water Polo Metro Competition (various locations around Melbourne, youth games on Sundays, adult games on Thursdays) and various tournaments or carnivals such as Ballarat and Geelong and interstate.
Junior Teams (9 to 18 yrs). You are welcome to join us for a free no obligation session or two but we do need to know prior. If you decide to particpate then your child will be given some one on one training to build an understanding of the game and the techniques used. If you want to come along please get in touch.
For the youngest Krakles (7-10 yrs) we are piloting a new program at NARC in the learn to swim pool. Currently oversubscribed. Watch this space.
Adult Members: Seniors meet for training on Wednesday nights at Ivanhoe Grammar school and play in the WP Victoria Summer State League on Thursday pm. If you are keen to get involved, and potentially help out with organising, please register here. We currently have complete beginners to ex-players so everyone is welcome.
