Northcote Water Polo Club Adult Program (Krakens)

Welcome to the Northcote Water Polo Club's Adult/Seniors Program, home of the Krakens! Whether you’re a seasoned player or completely new to the sport, our program is designed to cater to adults of all ages, genders, and abilities—including beginners. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming group, where everyone is encouraged to join in and enjoy the game.

Weekly Training:

1. Day of the week: Wednesdays
2. Time: 7:15 for 7:30pm-8:45pm
3. Location: Ivanhoe Grammar School - Sports & Aquatic Centre (via Underground Carpark, 2 Russell St, Ivanhoe VIC 3079)

Our weekly training sessions are designed to help you develop your skills, improve your fitness, and have fun in the water. You don’t need to commit to competitions if you’d prefer just to train—we’re happy to have you participate at your own pace.

Thursday Night Competitions:
For those interested in taking their water polo experience to the next level, we offer the opportunity to join our mixed MSL5 team for Thursday night competitions. It’s a great way to put your skills into practice and enjoy some friendly competition.

Fees:
- Training Only: approximately $20 per session, paid on a quaterly basis (according to Victorian school term)
- Competition: approxiamtely $19 per game, paid each season (players are welcome to join late and pay a pro rata fee)

We understand that committing to something new can be daunting, so we welcome you to come along and try out a session before making any decisions. We’re confident you’ll enjoy the experience!

• Bring swimwear, goggles, a towel and drinking water. We try to keep an eye out for new arrivals, but feel free to approach any of our friendy members and say hello.

If you are not already a Water Polo Victoria/Australia member this year (September 2024-August 2025), Click here. If you plan to compete in any formal competitions, select 'Full Senior Membership'. If you just wish to train and not compete, select 'Social/Training Senior Membership' (cheaper option). If you select social, and later decide to start competing, you will only have to pay the difference between the two fees.
